about me

My name is Joshua Guerra, and I’ve always believed that art should do more than look good—it should mean something.

I started Project Eljoshito to give voice to the chaotic, beautiful, and sometimes painful layers of life. Raised in Santa Ana, CA, I’ve seen firsthand what it means to fight for self-worth, especially when life feels stacked against you. Art became my survival tool. From sketching during dark moments to painting murals that now live on community walls, every piece is a reflection of my journey—of culture, faith, philosophy, and a desire to connect. Because of this, I try to serve communities that help uplift and unite people. This can be seen through hospitals, schools, coffee shops, and places where people are placed first.

My style fuses pop culture, Latin American themes, and emotional storytelling. I draw from philosophy, science, and the absurd—because life doesn’t always make sense, and sometimes, that’s where the truth hides.

Whether it's a mural on a local building or an art installation about existentialism, my goal is the same: to help people laugh, reflect, and feel a little less alone.
